PHYSICS
The Department of Physics was established in 1980 with B.Sc. Physics Course. It commenced M.Sc. Physics course in 1995. The Department has been offering complementary courses for B.Sc. Chemistry. The Department is well equipped with modern laboratories for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The course is intended to give students sound theoretical knowledge and experimental skills as well as enable them to conduct research.
Students from the department have selected in prominent national and international institution for higher education and research and also placed in various State/ Central/ Government/ Private sectors. Faculty members serve as research guides at Kannur University and have produced 8 PhDs, which are backed by a large number of research publications.
