Principal's Message

Our journey began when Nehru Arts and Science College was established in 1968 as a Government-aided institution, dedicated to providing quality higher education to the economically and socially disadvantaged regions of Northern Kerala. Affiliated with Kannur University, the college has steadily evolved into one of the most respected centres of higher learning in the region, guided by its vision of "Education for all and for all-round development."

Over the decades, our institution has consistently excelled in academics, research, innovation, extension activities, cultural programmes and community engagement. Every milestone achieved reflects the collective dedication of our students, faculty members, non-teaching staff, alumni, PTA, management and all our stakeholders who continue to strengthen our institution with unwavering commitment.

We continuously strive to maintain academic excellence through regular academic audits, curriculum enrichment, research initiatives and quality assurance practices. As a mentor institution under the UGC Paramarsh Scheme, we have guided several emerging colleges towards accreditation and institutional excellence, reinforcing our commitment to sharing knowledge and best practices.

Education is not merely about acquiring degrees—it is about nurturing values, developing leadership, encouraging innovation and preparing socially responsible citizens. We remain committed to creating an inclusive learning environment where every student is empowered to discover their potential and contribute meaningfully to society.
