The Department of Statistics, Nehru Arts and Science College, Kanhangad, is organizing National Statistics Day on 29 June 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prof. P. C. Mahalanobis. The programme will be inaugurated at 11:00 AM in the Grandiose Hall by Dr. Reeja P. V., Principal in Charge, with Smt. Shyma S. G., Associate Professor of Statistics (Retd.), Government Arts and Science College, Kozhikode, as the Chief Guest. The celebration aims to promote statistical awareness and analytical thinking through a Quiz Competition (Statistics and Indian Official Statistics System), Paper Presentation Competition, and Digital Poster Making Competition, providing students with a platform to showcase their knowledge, research, and creativity.
The Department of Computer Science presents a workshop on the Internet of Things (IoT), exploring how smart devices collect data, communicate through wireless networks, and generate actionable insights using cloud computing and real-time analytics.
